Tips for Success: Measurements are extremely important for a proper fit. Have someone else do them for you and make sure they are correct. The hip measurement is the most important and must be taken around the biggest part of your glutes. Waist measurement needs to be done around your belly button, not your belt line. And upper thigh is the biggest part of your thigh at the top without involving any of your glute in the measurement.
SUPER IMPORTANT FOR APF LIFTERS: It’s important that you take the measurements at your heaviest weight and biggest size. Many lifters take their measurements at the beginning of a training cycle and order the suit and then when it arrives, find out they have grown a lot and weigh more and the suit becomes too tight.

- Two thick layers of canvas. Other suits use one thick and one thin or only two thin layers. It’s the thickest suit on the market and weighs nearly 6 pounds.
- Two thick layers of side seam polyester. This allows for expansions of seams and generating rebound out of the hole to fast start you up towards the finish.
- Velcro straps that are adjustable for different comfort levels and different tightness allowing you to make changes for opening lifts versus third attempts. The straps have one layer cut out of them so the bar will stay on your back better and won’t roll as easy.
- Pattern design forces your legs out so it’s easier to keep your knees out and keep the bar in line with your feet and hips. Canvas suits work best when the crotch seam is opened all the way up and the knees are out. Bringing your knees in not only pulls the bar out of the midline but also loosens the suit in the crotch and then results in a loss of power.
