CLASSIC POWERLIFTING, BENCH PRESS AND DEADLIFT APRIL 1st , 2006
DIVISIONS TO COMPETE: Masters Men and Women, Submaster Men and Women, Teen 13,14-15,16-17,18-19, Junior (20-23), and Open.You can compete in either the full power meet, bench press only or deadlift only. BENCH PRESS ONLY COMPETITORS WILL GO IN THEIR WEIGHT CLASS WHEN THE THREE LIFT COMPETITORS BENCH AS WILL THE DEADLIFTERS. You may compete as an APF sanctioned lifter or you may compete as an unsanctioned lifter. You may also lift in any of the above categories as a “Raw” lifter as well but it has to be in the unsanctioned classification. Please check the appropriate boxes below. There will be a team contest as well. Write the lifters names and wt classes on back. SCHEDULED TIMES OF COMPETITION: TIMES ARE APPROXIMATE. It is the lifter’s responsibility to check the status of times and flights as the day progresses. It’s possible that you could lift earlier or even much later.
WEIGH INS: For all lifters : Friday, March 31st from 5-9 p.m. at Central Valley High School Commons-see address above ENTRY FEES: $55 FOR ONE DIVISION, $100 FOR TWO DIVISIONS. You must
have an APF card to compete in the APF sanction contest. Unsanctioned
lifters will not need to purchase an APF card. You can purchase an
APF card at the meet or by using the form below and one will be sent
to you. ENTRY DEADLINE: March 10, 2006. Late entries add $20. No entries are accepted after March 26th. If you want to enter the day of the meet, you must pay cash and you will not receive an award. AWARDS: Lifters will receive trophies for 1st ,2nd and 3rd place. Best lifter awards for open overall, masters overall, submaster overall and junior overall. There will be a team trophy for any teams entered as well. EQUIPMENT USED IN MEET: We will have a monolift to squat with, Texas power bar and Forza bench for the bench press, and an okie deadlift bar. LIFTER’S EQUIPMENT: All APF rules apply . You can use a double suit, double brief for the squat. You can use a double or single poly or denim for the bench. You can use a deadlift suit that is one or two ply. Knee wraps allow you to use 2 or 2.5 meter wraps. All lifters must have a one piece lifting suit (singlet). No shorts are allowed. Lifters in the Raw division are only required to wear a singlet and may use belt and wraps only. Singlets are available for purchase at the meet.
